Fears after man vanishes

POLICE are growing concerned for the welfare of a 47-year-old man from Wath who has gone missing.

Mohan Singh, known locally as John, has not been seen by friends and family since Monday.

He was last seen at his place of work, Spar Stores, Quarry Hill Road, Wath at around 10.40am.

After leaving the shop he turned left onto Quarry Hill Road towards Sandygate. There has been no further sightings or contact with friends or family since.

Mr Singh, is described as Asian, between 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in, medium build with brown eyes and brown short hair with a full beard.

He speaks with a Yorkshire accent and was last seen wearing a hooded grey knitted jacket with brown patches on the elbows, dark casual trousers and blue suede-effect lace-up shoes.

He could be wearing a silver bangle on his right wrist and a gold ring on his right hand.

The family are worried as Mr Singh’s clothing is described as not suitable for the current weather and  his disappearance is extremely out of character.

He left without significant personal items, including his mobile phone.

Police would like any information about his whereabouts, which would help locate him.
