Family's tribute after fatal motorcycle crash

A FAMILY paid tribute to a “loving son and father” after he died in a motorbike crash.

Shane Williams is thought to have lost control of his silver Kawasaki and hit trees beside Long Road in Brampton-en-le-Morthen.

Emergency services attended shortly after 11.30am on Thursday but Shane (24) died at the scene from head injuries.

His family said: “Shane was a loving son and a loving father to his little girl. We are all incredibly upset and ask that our privacy be respected.”

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said relatives were being supported by specially trained officers, adding: “Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the motorcycle or may have dash-cam footage of the rider prior to the collision.”

Anyone who can help is urged to call 101 quoting incident 304 of February 4.
