Solar panels help Magna cut energy bills

MAGNA is set to save £16,000 during the first 12 months after having solar panels fitted to the roof.

Facilities manager James Smith said: “In this first year of generating solar energy we are also going to reduce CO2 by 92 tonnes.

“This is terrific news financially for the charitable trust as well as greatly improving Magna’s green credentials.”

Greasbrough-based WS-Systems, who installed the photovoltaics, say the energy-saving panels remain good value despite falling tariff payments.
