Fire crews tackle "out of control" bonfire

Maltby firefighters were called out to Lawrence Close after receiving calls of a bonfire which had got out of hand at 8.45pm

FIRE crews tackled an out of control bonfire incident in the Flanderwell area last night.

The fire has been classed as accidental. 

It took under 30 minutes to extinguish the bonfire.

Crews also tackled a deliberate rubbish fire in the Aston area around 4.55am this morning.

Firefighters were on hand to put out a deliberate rubbish fire on Mansfield Road.

It took 20 minutes for crews to leave the area safely.
