Engine fault causes car fire
AN ENGINE fault is thought to have caused a car fire in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called to Thomas Street, Swinton at around 12.15am on Friday.
A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said a Renault Scenic was on fire when they arrived and the blaze was thought to have been caused by an engine fault.
Crews also dealt with a rubbish fire on Victoria Road, Conisbrough at around midnight.
