Elderly driver cut free from crash wreckage

AN ELDERLY man had to be cut free from his car by firefighters after a crash in North Anston today .

AN ELDERLY man had to be cut free from his car by firefighters after a crash in North Anston on Thursday morning

Crews from Aston Park and Maltby stations were called to Todwick Road, near Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, shortly before 8.30am.

A man in his 80s, who was a driver in one of the two cars involved, was trapped inside when they arrived.

The other driver, said to be in his 50s, suffered chest injuries and back pain. Both were taken by ambulance to Bassetlaw Hospital.
