Eatery's tree supports good causes

A RESTAURANT in Bawtry is raising money for two good causes — thanks to its tree.

The China Rose Cantonese Restaurant on the corner of Gainsborough Road and South Parade is asking people to buy a wooden heart tree decoration this Christmas for £2, write a message on it to a loved one and then hang it on the Always in My Heart tree in their car park.

Proceeds will be split between PACT — Parents Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia at Sheffield Children’s Hospital — and the Bawtry and Doncaster branch of the British Heart Foundation.

This is the sixth year that the China Rose has supported the two charities.
