Dickensian fair brings treat to Rotherham

A MINIATURE steam railway, traditional wandering carol singers and fairground rides were among the attraction as Rotherham travelled back in time.

The event with a 19th century twist was put on to help encourage Christmas shoppers into the town centre on Saturday.

The Dickensian Christmas celebration featured street entertainment from Dizzy and Dotty, magician The Great Mysto, Rotherham Town Brass Band and Thorpe Hesley Choir, plus a Punch and Judy show and Victorian craft market.
