Dearne students add spice to curry contest

STUDENTS have been cooking up a storm in the hunt for the area’s best new curry chef.

Pupils from Mexbrough Highwoods and Barnburgh Primary were the Dearne’s representatives in Aagrah’s Junior Chef of the Year Contest, with the Mayor of Doncaster, Ros Jones, among the judges.

The Mayor said: “To see these bright, creative and hard working students perform today in the way they have is what Doncaster is all about — I can only hope that their parents are as proud of them as I am.”
