Daily themes for Rotherham's 'seaside' celebrations

TOWN centre bosses have unveiled details of the themes for Rotherham’s annual seaside celebration.

Rotherham-by-the-Sea returns on Monday, with the usual mix of and, deckchairs, fish and chips, ice-cream, fun and hopefully sun in All Saints’ Square.

The square area will once again be transformed into a seaside resort for a great week at the beach, without even leaving the borough.

And there will be a different theme each day, as follows:

Monday - High School Musical day

Tuesday - Hawaiian day

Wednesday - Disney day

Thursday - Teddy Bears day

Friday - Pirates day

Saturday - Circus day

The free event will be from 10am-4.30pm all week from Monday to Saturday.

The year’s event promises another week of fantastic activities with a funfair, face-painting, cheerleading workshop, bingo, and a limbo competition.

There will be a helter skelter again, running every day with the exception of Saturday, and on Friday, you can take part in a pirate treasure hunt organised by ACT for Rotherham business group.
