Crowds hail Rotherham’s Armed Forces

A Spitfire featured in the civic commemorations for Armed Forces Day parade on Saturday, performing a flypast after the proud parade by cadets and senior servicemen.

Cadets from all three branches of the military joined serving adult members of the Forces as well as Territorial Army representatives in a parade led by the  South Yorkshire Police Band.

There was also a performance by members of the Rotherham Integrated Youth Support Services to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of the First World War.
