UPDATE - Road closed after armed gang's raid on bank
POLICE have closed a road after reports of an attempted armed robbery at a bank.
Broad Street in Parkgate is closed this morning (Friday) near Yorkshire Bank and the junction with Greasbrough Road.
A police spokeswoman said a number of suspects have fled the scene and officers are searching the surrounding area for the men.
The police helicopter is also in the area.
