Two year old dies in house blaze
A TWO-year-old girl has died following a house fire despite firefighters’ brave efforts to remove her from a burning building.
Members of crews from Edlington and Dearne fire stations emerged from an upstairs window of the property on Don Street, Conisbrough, with the toddler after finding her inside.
But despite their efforts at the incident, which started at around 7.45pm last night, the youngster - named locally as Libby-Jane - was pronounced dead upon her arrival at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
A full investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
