Two quizzed under Modern Slavery Act
Police were called to an address in the Masbrough area at 8.45am yesterday (Wednesday) after a member of the public voiced concerns over a young person’s welfare.
A 19-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of arranging the travel of another person with the view to exploiting the alleged victim, an offence under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
They have both been bailed pending further enquiries.

Hide AdSouth Yorkshire Police said the victim is receiving ongoing support from specialist officers and enquiries into the matter are ongoing.
