Two men arrested following £150,000 drug raid

CANNABIS plants with an estimated value of £150,000 have been seized in a raid on a residential property.

Officers from the Goldthorpe Safer Neighbourhood Team arrested two men, aged 39 and 29, after searching the house on Highgate Lane, Goldthorpe, on October 16.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “A total of 176 cannabis plants were found inside the property and are estimated to be worth about £150,000.

“The men were arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled drug and remain in custody where they are being questioned by detectives.”
