Two arrests and firearms seized in raid on house in Swinton

A MAN and a woman have been arrested and a “number of firearms” seized by police during a raid at a property in Swinton this morning.

Officers from the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit, supported by South Yorkshire Police, executed a warrant at the address on Park Road in connection with an ongoing enquiry into firearms offences.

A spokesperson for the unit said: “Two adults, one male and one female, were arrested and taken into custody and a number of firearms were recovered from the property.

“Enquiries continue.”
