Two arrested after woman's body found at Rawmarsh

TWO people were arrested after the body of a woman in her 30s was found in a house at Rawmarsh.

 

Police were called to The Bridleway shortly after 3.30pm yesterday following contact from Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Upon officers’ arrival, a man aged 47 and a woman aged 49 were arrested on suspicion of murder. They both remain in police custody.

“The woman’s family has been informed and is being supported by officers.

“Scenes remain in place on The Bridleway.

"We ask that you avoid the area while officers carry out their work and enquiries.”
