Transport Police appeal for bike theft help

BRITISH Transport Police want to find this man after a bike was stolen from Mexborough train station.

The Blue Ridge mountain bike — worth £225 — was taken between 12.30pm and 1pm on Saturday, September 26.

PC Jade Snaith, investigating, said: “At 11am, the owner secured his bike with a cable lock in the racks at the front of the station.

“When he returned a few hours later, it was gone.

“We want to speak to the man pictured in this image as we believe he will have information that can assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference PSUB/B4 of October 20.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
