Teenage arrest after Ferham crash

A TEENAGER was arrested after a car believed to be stolen was involved in a crash at Ferham.

South Yorkshire Police attended Hartington Road shortly after 9.10pm last Monday (10).

A spokesperson for the force said: “It was found that a blue Vauxhall Insignia and a silver Vauxhall Vectra had been in a collision, and the driver of the Insignia had fled the scene.

“It is believed that the Insignia was stolen earlier in the evening during a robbery on Steel Street, in which a 36-year-old man suffered injuries to his head and arms.

“He was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed to be non life-threatening.”

A 19-year-old man has been bailed while enquiries continue.
