Teen hurt in e-scooter crash at Conisbrough

A TEENAGER on an electric scooter suffered serious injuries after crossing onto the other side of a road and colliding with a car.

The 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital after the crash on Church Street in Conisbrough at 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Road police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and help them with enquiries.

A spokesperson said: “It is believed that the rider of the scooter, a 16-year-old boy, collided with a car on the opposite side of the carriageway. 

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene but left prior to officers’ arrival and did not leave any information.

“The car involved is believed to be a grey or silver coloured hatchback type vehicle with a wing mirror missing.

“Officers are keen to hear from the driver of the vehicle or anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information that can assist with enquiries.”
