Swinton man in court for firearms offences

A 39-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court after being charged with firearms offences following a raid on a property in Swinton.

Robbie Fardell appeared before Doncaster Magistrates' Court yesterday (Thursday) following the execution of a warrant at an address in Park Road on Tuesday morning.

The charges are the importation of prohibited weapons/ammunition with intent to evade a prohibition/restriction on July 25 2023 and bringing/causing to be brought a realistic imitation firearm into the country between June 29 2023 and July 4 2023.

Fardell was remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, August 24.
