Snow snap captures Rotherham car thieves in the act

A SNAPSHOT of a snowy Rotherham street scene accidentally pictured two burglars in the act of escaping with their loot in their victim’s BMW.

Now police are asking for help in tracking down the villains who were caught on camera by a neighbour after they broke into a house in Broom Road, Broom.

Electrical items and the keys to the 5-Series BMW were stolen, before the culprits drove off at about 3pm on January 21.

A police spokesman said: “The car was found abandoned in Intake, Sheffield, later that day.

“However four men were believed to have been seen leaving the vehicle.

“They are all described as white and in their late teens to early 20s.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 772 of January 21.
