Smoking floorboards alert residents
HOMEOWNERS were alerted to their chimney fire after they noticed smoke coming up through the floor boards.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue was called to the premises on Nearcroft Road in Kimberworth Park around 7.50pm on Thursday, January 24.
Two engines from Rotherham and one from Elm Lane attended the incident and used water back packs to put out the fire.
There were no injuries.
