Rotherham man guilty of murder
David Sindall of Selbourne Street in Eastwood, Rotherham, was yesterday found guilty of the murder of Dean Armitage (49) in Hoyland.
The jury returned a guilty verdict yesterday afternoon.
Sindall will be sentenced this afternoon at Sheffield Crown Court.

Hide AdOn Sunday, July 21, last year, Mr Armitage was woken at around 3.15am after hearing noises outside his home on Skiers View Road in Hoyland.
Going outside to investigate, Mr Armitage found Sindall sitting in his Range Rover on the driveway and confronted him.
Mr Armitage was hit over the head with what was believed to be a torch and as a result, he fell and hit his head on the concrete floor.
Sindall kicked and punched Mr Armitage before fleeing the scene.

Hide AdThe postmortem concluded the victim died from head injuries.
Sindall will be sentenced tomorrow (Thursday 27 February) at Sheffield Crown Court.
Mr Armitage’s wife, son and two daughters, said in a statement: “Words cannot begin to describe the suffering and pain we are still feeling.
“We will never be able to get over the loss of Dean.”
