Rotherham chapel boilers 'stolen to order'

THIEVES who broke into a chapel stole two boilers and left gas and water pouring out.

The theft from the Upper Wincobank Chapel happened when the two Eco TEC Pro Vaillant Combi boilers were taken.

A spokesman for the chapel said: “We believe these boilers were stolen to order so if you or anyone you know have recently been supplied with a similar used boiler, please contact the police.

“This is a serious crime. When pipes were cut through the gas and water was left pouring out with no regard to safety and it was only the prompt action of neighbours in alerting police that prevented a lethal accident.”
