Roof raiders strip £70,000-worth of lead from Clifton Park Museum
LEAD thieves have stolen £70,000 worth of the metal from the roof of Rotherham’s most prestigious museums.
The theft at Clifton Park Museum, a listed building, was discovered last Friday after staff noticed water leaking in to the building due to rain.
On investigating exactly where the water was coming from, museum workers found a large quantity of lead was missing from the roof.

Hide AdAs the building is listed, the cost to replace the lead is estimated at around £70,000.
