£1m cannabis set-up uncovered in industrial unit

Barnsley South neighbourhood officers located the drugs on Hemingfield Road on Saturday afternoon.

An investigation has been launched to establish who was responsible for the extensive set-up, the team said. 

Sgt Kev Jenkins added: “We are aware of local community concerns regarding the use of controlled drugs within our neighbourhood area and this will have a significant impact on the supply of drugs within Barnsley.”
