A MAN who breached his criminal behaviour order 20 times has been jailed for six months.

Bradley Campbell was held on September 14 and convicted of nine breaches, after which he was bailed for pre-sentence reports.

The 25-year old, Park Close in Thrybergh, was arrested by Rawmarsh neighbourhood officers again a week later for another 11 breaches, and remanded in custody.

Behaviour orders are given out by police when dealing with individuals taking part in repeated anti-social behaviour.

Campbell’s prevents him from loitering and begging by shops in the Dalton area, or intimidating members of the public.

He appeared before magistrates on October 12 and was fined £154 in addition to the jail term.

PC Lisa Ainsworth said: “Campbell is a prolific offender in this area of Rotherham, and was found to have breached his CBO on a number of occasions.

“Since Campbell’s arrests, we have received messages of thanks from the shops and restaurants in the Dalton area who have said their customers feel safer without his presence outside the stores.

“These orders are made to protect members of the public from anti-social and intimidating behaviour, and I would encourage anyone who sees Campbell breaching his order on his release to contact us by calling 101.”
