Poppy Appeal collection tin stolen in one of two Swinton shop burglaries

BURGLARS broke into two shops in the space of four nights.

Raiders stole a Poppy Appeal collection tin during a break-in at Jackie’s Something Special, Church Street, Swinton, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident came after animal rescue charity shop Barnsley Animal Rescue Centre (BARC), on Station Street, was targeted on Thursday — the second such incident in just just five months.
