Police operation sees 26 arrests and nearly £1m of cannabis seized
The two-month effort from South Yorkshire Police was aimed at targeting and disrupting organised crime gangs in both locations.
The teams executed 29 warrants, carried out 26 stop and searches and stopped 112 vehicles — and the operation is continuing.

Hide AdVarious weapons — including a sawn-off shotgun, imitation firearm, crossbow, machetes and zombie knife — have been removed from the streets, along with 900 cannabis plants worth £900,000.
Chief Supt Ian Proffitt, Doncaster’s district commander, said: “We understand that instances of violent crime cause considerable concern in our communities.
“All too often, the root cause of many of these incidents can be traced back to organised crime gangs involved in drugs production and supply.
“To tackle this, a dedicated operation was launched at the end of September, to target those involved in organised crime and bring offenders to justice. Through a mixture of enforcement and engagement, we have already seen some positive results.
