Police investigate after arson attack on flat

Three fire crews from Edlington and Doncaster stations were called out to on Waverley Avenue at 2.35am.

Crews left the scene at 4.10am.

It is believed the flat was unoccupied but South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were unable to confirm.

A spokesperson said: “As the fire was deliberate, the police are now investigating the incident.”
