Police hunt for Wingfield thief

POLICE are seeking burglars who raided a Wingfield pensioner’s home, stealing £900 in cash and a pearl necklace.

Thieves broke in to the house on Wingfield Road between 6.30pm and 9.20am on Saturday, January 11, climbing in through a bathroom window.

They searched the 94-year-old woman’s whole house while she was asleep in bed, before walking out through the front door.

Officers ask any witnesses or people with information on the crime to call them on 101, quoting incident number 1204 of January 11.
