Police hoping to trace dog walkers who helped young robbery victims

POLICE are keen so trace dog walkers who helped two boys home after they were robbed in Wingfield.

The lads — aged 11 and 12 — had their belongings taken on Nidderdale Road just after 6pm on June 3.

A boy and girl — both aged 17 — have been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Det Sgt Yvonne Fairbrother said: “We are keen to hear from anybody who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened. 

“We are particularly keen to hear from a man and woman who were out walking their dog and helped the boys home.”
