Police appeal after sex assault at Rotherham rail station

DETECTIVES investigating a sexual assault at Rotherham Central railway station have released this CCTV image.

A 23-year-old woman was walking down steps towards the platform when she was approached by a man.

British Transport Police said they shared a brief exchange before the man sexually assaulted her.

Detectives believe the man in this image may have information to help their investigation.

The incident happened at about 8.30pm on Saturday, September 2.
