Pedestrian hit by car had already been assaulted, South Yorkshire Police say
POLICE believe a pedestrian involved in a collision with a car had been assaulted before the crash.
The 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the incident involving a blue BMW at Wath Road in Mexborough.
Emergency services were called shortly before 8pm on Tuesday and roads policing officers have appealed for witnesses.
