No arrest for Wickersley bank raid

POLICE have yet to make an arrest following a ram raid on a bank in broad daylight.

Four men made off with money from a cash machine at the HSBC bank on Wickersley’s Tanyard at around 9.15am last Friday.

The raiders were in a white Nissan Qashqai which was repeatedly reversed into the glass-fronted building.

Three of the men then got out of the car, went into the bank and stole cash from the cash machine.

All four then fled in the car, which was later found abandoned on nearby Black Carr Road.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle prior to the incident to please call 101, quoting incident number 266 of October 25.
