Murder inquiry underway after doorstep shooting victim dies

A MAN who was shot on his own doorstep has died in hospital sparking a murder inquiry.

Tyrone Woodhead (42), of Doncaster Road, Wath, died on Wednesday, five weeks after he was shot at his home on September 20.

A 29-year-old and a 22-year-old man had previously been charged with attempted murder and remanded in custody.

Stephen Barry Rodgers, from Thurnscoe, was arrested after officers located him in Southport, Merseyside, last Thursday.

Rodgers appeared before magistrates sitting in Rotherham to answer charges of attempted murder and robbery.

Nathan Wingfield (22) was charged at Rotherham Magistrates Court on September 29 before being remanded in custody.
