Motorcyclist hospitalised after collision

A MOTORCYCLIST suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision in a Rotherham village.

The 24-year-old male rider of the green Kawasaki motorcycle was travelling along Lamb Lane, Firbeck, when the vehicle left the road at the junction with Haven Hill.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “The motorcycle slid across a grass verge before hitting a grass bank at around 12.30pm on Good Friday.

“The Rotherham man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.”

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the manner in which the motorcycle was being driven in the lead up to the collision.
