Man wounded in buttocks after alleged shooting in Conisbrough

A MAN needed hospital treatment after being shot in the buttocks yesterday, police said.

The 22-year-old man was reportedly shot by a “known man” on Castle Street, Conisbrough, before going to hospital for help.

His injuries were described as non-life threatening.

A cordon was put in place on the road at around 5.30pm as police made further enquiries regarding the incident, the Advertiser understands. 

A police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information is asked to report it via the online portal quoting incident number 4 of October 9, or by calling 101.”
