Man allegedly raped in alleyway

The man - aged in his 40s - was approached and assaulted by two men near Fulwood Drive, Balby, at about 12.10am on Monday.

One of the men is alleged to have raped the victim before running off towards Tickhill Road.

The suspects are described as 5ft 9ins tall and both wore jeans. One was wearing a grey jacket.

Det Sgt Peter Swift said: “I would like to reassure residents that this investigation is being treated as an absolute priority and the victim is currently receiving support by specially trained officers.

“A thorough investigation into this matter is now under way and we will be reviewing CCTV footage of the area.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or who saw anyone acting suspiciously to come forward and speak to police.”
