LATEST: 'No suspicious circumstances' after woman's body found in River Don
DETECTIVES investigating the death of a pensioner whose body was found in the River Don yesterday (Monday) are not treating the cause as suspicious.
Police were called to the Aldwarke Lane area at 11.54am on Monday when a member of the public saw a body.
Emergency services recovered the 83-year-old woman's body and paramedics confirmed she had died.
A police spokesman said a file on the woman's death will be submitted to the coroner.
