Girl (17) assaulted in market town street

WITNESSES are being sought to an assault on a 17-year-old girl in Tickhill.

Police said the teenager was the victim of a common assault in Drury Lane, Tickhill, last Friday.

A police spokeswoman said: “At around 2.50am, it was reported that a 17-year-old was walking along Drury Lane when someone allegedly grabbed her shoulder from behind.

“The teenager did not suffer any injuries but was shaken up by the assault.”

Anyone with information has been asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 142 of February 27.
