Four held after man stabbed in Laughton Common pub car park brawl

POLICE made four arrests after attending a large brawl in a pub car park in which one man was stabbed.

Officers attended The Gallows on Hangsman Lane in Laughton Common at about 7.40pm on Saturday.

Several people had been injured — including a man in his 40s who suffered stab wounds which are not life-threatening.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries. They are: 

  • A 30-year-old Rotherham man on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and violent disorder
  • A 21-year-old Doncaster man on suspicion of Section 18 assault
  • A 51-year-old Rotherham man on suspicion of violent disorder
  • A 26-year-old Doncaster man on suspicion of violent disorder

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who had been attending a baby shower at the pub at the time and may hold information about the fight.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “If you witnessed the disorder, or know anything that could help, please contact us using live chat, our online portal or by calling 101 quoting incident number 969 of May 20.
