Firearms raid – man charged and due in court

Robbie Fardell was remanded and due to appear before Doncaster Magistrates' Court today (Thursday, July 27).

It follows the execution of a warrant by Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit officers, supported by South Yorkshire Police, at an address in Park Road on Tuesday morning in connection with an ongoing firearms offences inquiry.

Two adults, one male and one female, were arrested and a number of firearms were recovered.

Officers were granted an additional 12 hours to detain the pair on Wednesday.

The female has been bailed pending further enquiries.

The charges are the importation of prohibited weapons/ammunition with intent to evade a prohibition/restriction on July 25 2023 and bringing/causing to be brought a realistic imitation firearm into the country between June 29 2023 and July 4 2023.

Officers are continuing to search the address.
