Fire drama at Goldthorpe chippy

CUSTOMERS and staff fled a Goldthorpe fish shop as it burst into flames on this morning.

People ran from JJ’s Traditional Fish and Chips on Frederick Street as fire and smoke billowed from the building, shortly after 10.30am.

Two crews from Dearne fire station cordoned off the road, using hose reels and dry powder to fight the fire.
