Family threatened and robbed by masked men

A FAMILY was assaulted and burgled by four masked men who initially said they had come to check the gas.

The residents, a 42-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, were threatened and items including jewellery and a BMW were stolen.

The 23-year-old suffered a facial injury during the incident at Parklands View, Aston, between 12.15pm and 12.30pm yesterday.

Det Con Sarah Robinson said: “The residents have been left incredibly distressed by this burglary and we’re working hard to identify those people responsible.

“One of the suspects is believed to have spoken with an Irish accent and all the men were wearing dark clothing.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who might have been in the Aston area at lunchtime yesterday that perhaps saw a group of men behaving suspiciously, or anyone that may have seen a grey BMW driving in the area around that time or shortly afterwards.”
