Elderly woman's body found in River Don
THE body of an elderly woman has been found in the River Don this morning.
Police were called to the Aldwarke Lane area of Rotherham at 11.54am on Monday when a member of the public saw what he believed to be a body.
Police and the fire service recovered the woman’s body and paramedics confirmed she had died.
The scene is currently cordoned off while the area is examined by forensic officers.
