Driver (73) dies after hitting central reservation at Balby

A DRIVER in his 70s died after crashing into fencing and a central reservation at Balby.

South Yorkshire Police said a red Dacia Duster was the only vehicle involved in the collision on Warmsworth Road.

It happened at 10.12pm on Friday and the motorist (73) was pronounced dead in hospital.

Police appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened near the junction with Hall Flat Lane.

A spokesperson said: “If you witnessed the collision, or were travelling on the A630 and hold dash cam footage of the collision, please get in touch. 

“You can do this via our online portal or by emailing footage to [email protected], quoting incident 967 of December 2.

"You can also call 101, quoting the same incident number, or visit our online portal."
