Dog rescued from house fire
A DOG had to be rescued from a family home after a fire which started in an outside bin spread to the property.
The blaze started at around 7.25pm last night at Arnold Crescent in Mexborough outside the semi-detached house.
Two crews from Dearne station and one from Edlington attended the scene.

Hide AdA South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said no one was inside the house at the time if the blaze but firefighters went inside to rescue a dog.
Crews were at the scene for an hour.
The fire was under investigation this morning.
