Danger warning after youths spotted on Maltby school roof days before break-in
The boys were spotted on the pitched, tiled roof of St Mary’s Catholic School on Muglet Lane, Maltby, and caught on camera by a concerned local resident.
Burglars broke into the school last Saturday (10), between 7pm and 8pm, by breaking a window, a police spokeswoman said.

Hide AdThe intruders damaged classrooms inside the school, which is in the middle of the six-week summer break.
It is understood that the boys who were spotted on the school roof last Wednesday evening are involved in the burglary investigation.
The mum of one of the vandals who broke into the school reportedly said on social media that she had given his name to the police.
A force spokeswoman said officers had identified the people they wanted to speak to about the burglary.

Hide AdShe added: “Climbing on empty buildings comes with a raft of potential safety hazards, and while the local authorities do put security measures in place, we would advise people to please refrain from entering any form of closed or abandoned premises.”
A spokesperson for St Mary’s Catholic School said no-one was available for comment.
